With the addition of Interstate 485, Stallings has seen several subdivisions, business parks and shopping centers have recently been completed or are under construction. The town of Stallings is home to Callonwood, Chesnut Oaks, Fairhaven and Stonewood subdivisions.

Stalling Real Estate History

The town is named after Matthew Thomas Stallings, a prominent farmer and merchant in Cabarrus County. In the early 190’s he moved to 2oo acres of Mecklenburg County where he saw the value of the timber there. He built a home and opened a country store near the railway track. He had a vision to build an important settlement. The sawmill opened by Mark Conder gave the town its first industry and many people were employed with the sawmill, Stallings’s store and farming.
