A small rural area, Midland has a population of just around 3,000 people.

Midland NC Real Estate Amenities

Like many North Carolina towns, Midland, NC began as a railroad town around 1913, but didn’t officially incorporate until the year 2000. Early North Carolina maps show the community existed as early as 1864 under the name of Garmon. It was a farming and textile-related community until recently. It is becoming a popular bedroom community of urban Charlotte, attracting more and more Midland Real Estate interest. Lower taxes, affordable Midland Homes for Sale and a rural flavor, this town is attractive for families.

One Midland Real Estate claim to fame is the Reed Gold Mine. It is the site of the first discovery of gold in the United States. It is now a North Carolina State Historic Site and is open to the public. Visitors can even walk into mine tunnels.

Midland Homes for Sale have the Appeal of Nature

Trees are abundant around Midland Real Estate. Climate is generally mild here with pleasant warm days even into the late Fall. As the name suggests, Midland is in the middle of many recreation options in nearby Appalachian Mountains to the West and Carolina beaches to the East.

Midland’s children and teenagers are served by the Cabarrus County School District. The district contains 33 schools including many new ones and continued new construction to keep up with the Cabarrus County growth. The district is know for it’s excellence in education with qualified teachers, rigorous curriculum, excellent extra-curricular activities and positive partnerships with the community. Students of the Cabarrus County School District are known to receive higher than average scores compared to North Carolina state education averages.
