Gaston County Real Estate

Gaston County History

Gaston County is named after William Gaston who served in the House of Representatives from 1813 to 1817 and a North Carolina Supreme County Judge from 1833 to 1844. Early settlers of Gaston County were mostly Irish, German, Dutch and English farmers. In the mid-1800s, Gaston County started to become an industrial center in the Piedmont area with three cotton mills.
