Living in Charlotte NC was nothing special at first. As a kid, I remember my mother’s words reflecting a since of being stuck in a place she didn’t want to be and my grandmother, well she was just never happy so I figured she must really hate living here, but it turns out she didn’t and she actually chose to live here unlike my mother who just kind of landed here. My grandparents must have known something about Charlotte NC then that none of us knew at the time. In the early 80’s Charlotte NC real estate consisted of nothing more than a few air scrapers (you know, the tall buildings that don’t quite reach the sky) and a bunch of farmland. That’s something that the real estate for sale in Charlotte NC has never been without, a bunch of farmland to surround it.

As I grew up, going to both the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System and Cabarrus County Schools, I watched the area grow from a virtual stranger to the national scene into one of its biggest players. Sure, even today the news reporters still think they have to add the “NC” after Charlotte when they speak of it in the media (much unlike “New York” or “Boston” whose names just speak for themselves) but that’s OK. I like the way “Charlotte North Carolina” sounds when spoken anyway and it is starting to change. As Charlotte’s resilient real estate market continues to prove to the nation that you don’t have to drop your price 10% to sell your home, we are becoming even better known these days, if for nothing more than that alone. “#1 in the Nation”, Charlotte Real Estate has made headlines several times over the past year, and trust me, as a real estate agent in Charlotte north Carolina, there are only a few things in this world I am more thankful for than living right here and working with Charlotte North Carolina real estate every day.
